The Economic Research Institute of the Bank of Korea operates the Central Bank Network Program to enhance mutual understanding on issues of shared interest and to promote the exchange of research insights through regular academic cooperation with major foreign central banks.
Since its inception in 2017 with the Bank of Japan, the program has expanded its partnerships to include other central banks such as the Magyar Nemzeti Bank (Hungary) and the Banque de France, contributing to the strengthening of global research capacity and the expansion of central bank networks. In addition, by alternating the hosting of joint research workshops or seminars each year and sharing recent economic issues and research findings, the program has become an important platform for deepening policy discussions between participating institutions.
