========================================= Press Release (Feb. 26, 1998) Banking Statistics Divison(82-2-759-4322) ========================================= Korea changes the BOP statistics in accordance with the new IMF manual ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ The Bank of Korea plans to compile the balance of payments(BOP) statistics in line with the fifth edition of the IMF Balance of Payments manual (1993) from March 1998 when the BOP statistics for the January of the year is going to be released. The Bank of Korea has compiled the balance of payments(BOP) statistics in accordance with the international standards recommended by the forth edition of the IMF Balance of Payments manual (1977) until now.
