RBS와 NATWEST MARKET의 BIC코드가 왜 동일한지에 대한 BIS의 답변입니다.
추가적으로 BIC코드에 대한 설명이 있으므로, 업무에 참고하시면 될 것 같습니다.
감사합니다.
It seems that “The Royal Bank of Scotland plc” was renamed to “NatWest Markets Plc” on 30 April 2018.
Please note that the purpose of these reporting dealers lists is to identify correctly transactions with other dealers participating in the Triennial Survey. Swift codes and LEIs are only tools to help with the correct identification of transactions between reporting dealers. Based on these data, the BIS adjusts the global figures for double-counting in interdealer trades.
Reporting dealers can have more than one Swift code, even if only one code appears in the list of reporting dealers. Very often, individual sections of a bank, for example the markets department, have their own Swift code. For this reason, reporters should not rely exclusively on Swift codes for the identification of transactions with reporting dealers. So any transaction conducted with reporting dealers should be reported under transactions “with reporting dealers” even if conducted via swift codes not listed in the list of reporting dealers.
